Today we’re going to be talking about a gadget that not everyone knows exists, we are of course talking about the electric curtain. Now 99% of us have regular curtains that people have been used to for hundreds of years, with home automation systems getting better and better though Electric curtains are one of the latest additions to an array of devices that aim to make your everyday life just a little bit easier.
Do you really need motorised curtains?
Like any gadget out there at the moment there is a certain element of, is this really necessary? We put electric curtains tracks to the test in order to find out whether they do really make your life that much easier and whether they are worth the slightly hefty price-tag.
First of all we were pleasantly surprised to find out that we did not need a special set of clippings in order to automate our curtaining closing process. These devices simply sit down with your existing coding rails and plug into your main power supply, when the device is activated it then uses it in built motor to actually do the closing of the curtains electronically. This is quite a handy feature of his devices because not a lot of people would want to change their coating style in order to fit an automation device, so this certainly lowers the barrier to entry.
The advantages to having automated curtains are that for example if you’re the type of person who finds it difficult to get out of bed in the morning in a darkened room, having a remote control that introduces natural daylight at potential button can be a big plus. It does get even better than that though, you don’t necessarily need to push a button in order to open your coatings, you can simply set a desired time, a little like an alarm clock and your curtains will open at that time on their own.
This type of gadget is also very useful for elderly relatives who may have difficulties in opening their own kittens, you can set it so that at a touch of a button your entire house’s curtains will open at once. We were pleasantly surprised with this device we originally thought would we ever buy one for our own homes, but after using one of them we have discovered that they’re actually pretty useful and in our opinion worth the price tag.
